We go in with a thesis. Then we follow the data.

Build, measure, learn. You let go of what you're sure is true, and what actually happens decides the next move.

  1. First, understand the business.

What number tells you something's wrong? What changed since it was working? Is it the team, the market, the offer, or how you sell?

  2. Then find the constraint.

Most of what owners bring me is a symptom. So I dig into the numbers, talk to your customers and your team, and keep asking why until I hit the cause, including the stuff everybody assumes is true and nobody's tested.

  3. From there, decide what changes.

We pick the few things most likely to matter, decide what goes first and who owns it, and agree on how we'll measure it before anything starts.

  4. Then build it, launch it, and learn.

Whatever it turns out to be, an analysis, a tool, or a process, it's built to get you from where you are to where you want to be. So we build it and we launch it. Then you find out what it did. Whether the outcomes are the ones you wanted, where it's working, where it isn't, and what's worth another pass. That's the learning, and it hands you what you need to run the next one. That's the magic.

Ways to work together.

The entire process runs in this order, but businesses need help at different points. I can jump in anywhere.

  1. You know
something is broken, but not exactly what

    Find out what's broken.

Where you are today, and what's actually in the way. That's the sleuthing, and it's what sets the scope for everything after it.

  2. You know
what's broken, but not what's better

    Fix what's in the way.

The market, the position, the demand, the pricing, or the process and who does what. We agree on the goal up front, and we measure against it.

  3. You know
what you want, you need help building it

    Build it into the business.

Agents, automation, integrations, dashboards and custom tools. I build them myself, and I stay on them after they go live.

What to expect

Everything starts with a Discovery Call, about 30 minutes. It's high-level, it gives me a chance to ask the right questions to put together my plan of attack, and it's free.

Coming out of our Discovery Call, I'll propose one or more solutions. Some projects are fixed-fee and others are ongoing, and we'll walk through my proposal step-by-step so you have complete clarity.

Who shouldn't hire me.

  • If you believe your product sells itself, don't hire me.
  • If you think marketing is nonsense and it won't work for your business, don't hire me.
  • If you truly believe you have no competitors in the market, don't hire me.
  • If you're looking for overnight success, don't hire me.
  • If spending a few thousand dollars to address your biggest growth challenges stresses you out, don't hire me.
  • If you're not here to learn, don't hire me.

...not trying to be mean, but I am trying to be clear. I'm only interested in working with owners and teams who are committed to this process.

Talk it through with me.

Bring the problem, even if it's still fuzzy. We'll talk about what's going on, what might be behind it, and whether I'm the right person to help. If I'm not, I'll tell you.
